The city of Orbetello is hosting the tenth edition of "Gustatus, the sense of taste", the food and wine event dedicated to quality food, which enhances the flavors and scents of the Maremma and lagoon tradition. From 29 October to 1 November, four days of side tastings and initiatives for the most demanding palates, for those who want to get close to a wide cross section of the food culture.
Only in Orbetello, in those days, you will be assured of meeting between an offer of extraordinary Italian products in a beautiful scenery represented in the autumn from the lagoon of Orbetello. Gustatus 2015 will be: -tantissime and tastings of all kinds - in pairs, show cooking cooking competitions with professional chefs, theme dinners, including the Spanish dinner and medieval dinner, music, street performers, art exhibits, books and conferences on food, scientific and cultural insights, crafts and folklore, meetings with schools. But also cinema, walking and cycling to discover the area, stands of small and large producers. And then the very special corner of the chocolate with the sensory labs, the wine, the area devoted to the products of the Umbria region, the street of artists and entertainment area for children with workshops and baby parking free.
The Gustatus project, born in 2006 is organized by the Municipality of Orbetello with the Consortium Welcome Maremma combining tourism operators in the area and is made with the collaboration of local producers and the many associations operating in the area. The program was presented in the press conference that was held in the Council Hall.
